Ecotourism Guide Training

James facilitated an intensive 3-day training session for 50 interpretive officers from across Canada and northern US who were attending the annual Interpretation Canada Conference. Special emphasis was placed on the educational values of ecotourism and the role of interpretive services.


ecoplan:net ltd. was hired to prepare the first comprehensive sportfishing training program for the Cree Nation of the James Bay (Québec). Comprehensive training workbooks were developed for camp managers, cooks and sportfishing and ecotourism guides. ecoplan:net provided an orientation to the 8 trainers, prepared all educational materials and managed the project.
