ecoplan:net ltd. was commissioned to train and co-teach a 5-day workshop with Rainey Gaywish of WREDCO. A one-week training program for Ms. Gaywish took place in Winnipeg followed by a 5-day workshop in Riding Mountain National Park. Participants included members of various bands as well as the Manitoba Department of Tourism. Recommendations from the workshop were used to expand WREDCO tourism product.

Following the preparations of a Community Tourism Development Strategy by ecoplan:net it was decided to conduct a 10-day tourism planning and product development workshop. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding the communities successful sport-hunting business skills and infrastructure into ecotourism and adventure travel product and marketing.
